Hello! My name is Michelle Pashkevich, and I'm excited to begin my third year here at Codington Elementary. Originally from Long Island, I grew up with my parents, older brother Richie, and our beloved dog, Snoopy.
I attended Penn State University (WE ARE!) where I earned my degree in Kindergarten and Elementary Education, with a minor in Math and Science. I furthered my education with a Master’s Degree in Administration and Supervision from George Mason University, and I also hold certification in Gifted Education.
My teaching career began as a 5th grade advanced academic classroom teacher in Fairfax County, Virginia, where I spent six years teaching students in fifth, sixth, and third grades. Before joining New Hanover County, I worked as an Advanced Academic Resource Teacher for eight years. My career continued at Mary C. Williams as the Gifted Education Specialist. With a total of 18 years of experience nurturing and supporting gifted learners, I am passionate about helping students reach their full potential.
In July 2021, my husband Randy and I relocated to Wilmington, drawn by the prospect of raising our family in such a beautiful community. We have three wonderful children: Sonya (15), Hudson (6), and Maddox (4).
Codington Elementary has already proven to be a warm and welcoming environment, and I feel incredibly fortunate to be part of such a dedicated team. I look forward to working with your children and supporting your family throughout our time together at Codington Elementary.
